Tree Cutting & Felling in Longview, TX

Longview, TX · Cutting & Felling

Tree Service Longview Crew handles tree cutting and felling across Longview for the trees that have room to come down in one controlled drop — dead pines on acreage, hazardous hardwoods at the wood line, and trees being cleared for a fence, pasture or build. When there’s a safe drop zone we fell directionally; when there isn’t, we section it down piece by piece. Either way it comes down where we mean it to.

Felling where there’s room

On open lots and rural acreage around Gregg and Harrison County, directional felling is the efficient way to drop a tree — we set the notch and back-cut, account for lean and wind, and lay it down in a clear, planned direction away from anything that matters. It takes reading the tree correctly, which is exactly where experience and the right saws earn their keep.

  • Dead and dying trees with a clear drop zone
  • Hazardous leaners at the wood line
  • Clearing for fences, pasture and building pads
  • Sectional take-down where space is tight

Bucking, hauling and the stump

Once it’s down we buck the trunk into manageable rounds, chip the limbs, and haul off the wood — or cut it to firewood length and stack it if you’d rather keep it. Add stump grinding and we’ll leave the spot flush and ready to use.

Cutting & felling questions

What’s the difference between felling and removal?
Felling drops the whole tree in one controlled direction when there’s a clear space for it to land. Removal — what we do in tight yards — takes the tree down in rigged sections. Felling is faster and cheaper when the room is there.
Can you fell a tree near my house?
If there’s a genuinely safe drop zone, yes. If the only clear space is too small or the lean is wrong, we switch to a sectional removal or a crane instead — safety sets the method, not speed.
Do you cut the wood into firewood?
We can buck the trunk into firewood rounds and stack them for you, or haul everything off — your call. Just tell us at the estimate.
Can you clear several trees at once?
Yes — felling multiple trees for a fence line, pasture or building pad is bread-and-butter work for us, and clearing them together usually brings the per-tree cost down.
